This is the official page for Turkeyfoot Valley's Music Program. We are excited to see our students grow within and throughout this program in our many activities!

Here at Turkeyfoot, we pride ourselves in having a flourishing music department, complete with general music, choir, band, individual lessons. The levels of involvement are as shown below:

Pre-K-8th Grade - General Music
​
Pre-K-12th Grade - Chorus
​
4th-12th Grade - Band (Individual Lessons)
​
We produce a Winter and Spring concert each year as well as participate in music festivals and community events throughout western Pennsylvania.

I would like to thank all the parents that encourage their kids to participate in the arts. The program would not be as large or successful as it is without your support! I look forward to continuing to work with your young musicians and helping them experience the world through music. As Plato said, "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination,and life to everything."

Our Philosophy
The Turkeyfoot Music Department believes that music is a subject in which children are free to explore, grow, and discover. We view mistakes as opportunities to grow and promote growth within both skill and determination. In music, students learn collaboration, patience, organization, and other social skills. Students also build upon other subjects in the music curriculum, such as language, phonics, math, history, and science. The young musicians of Turkeyfoot are curious, expressive, and driven!
Our History
This program was revived in the spring of 2019 after a lapse spanning multiple years. The first year of the new Turkeyfoot Music Program consisted of chorus, general music, and individual lessons. Each year, our music department continues to grow with our students.
