Lessons at Turkeyfoot
Students at Turkeyfoot are given the opportunity to take individual or small group lessons in the music room. Lessons occur once a week for 15 minutes and are taught on the student's assigned instrument. These lessons are of no cost to the parents or students and occur during the school day.

If you believe your child would be interested in taking lessons, please feel free to email Miss Deyarmin or print the Instrument Take-Home Agreement and send it in with your child. **Please read our COVID-19 Statement below before sending in a request for lessons.

COVID-19 Statement
The staff at Turkeyfoot School District is dedicated to keeping your children safe during this difficult time. In the case of the music program, we will be taking precautions during lessons and rehearsals. These precautions are as follows:

Masks will be worn at all times except when playing outside, distanced apart.

Students will have music lessons outside as often as possible. This will allow them to remove masks and play instruments while being distanced at least 6 feet apart.

Students can play their instruments in the practice room(s) located inside of the music room during inclement weather. Only one student may use the room(s) at a time and the room will be sanitized between uses.

During inclement weather, students will have lessons in the music room and will practice skills such as reading music, reviewing instrument care, and aspects of music theory.
